Core Courses

group of CESL studentsStudents at the Center for English as a Second Language Intensive English Program (CESL IEP) are required to take three core courses and one seminar class.

At least once a session, communication classes have a cultural activity. There are no classes on Friday afternoons.

 

Core courses consist of:

9:00 - 10:15 am Monday - Friday Academic Skills (reading/writing)
10:30 - 11:50 am Monday - Friday Structure (grammar)
1:00 - 2:15 pm
1:00 - 3:30 pm
Monday - Wednesday
Thursday
Communication (listening/speaking)
2:25 - 3:30 pm Monday - Wednesday Seminar (elective)

 

In addition to the above, CESL IEP offers a special TOEFL Trac class for students who want intensive TOEFL training.
